Course Description

Very few, if any, companies are immune from change these days. Sometimes the change is organic and people hardly notice it happening. More often, however, change is initiated because businesses have to respond to external demands and constraints as well as internal ones.

Most organizations are either preparing for change, in the middle of managing change, or just simply having a hard time recovering from some previous change.

Wherever you are with managing change helping your people is essential. Most change programs fail because nobody looks at the emotional fallout and the effect on people's lives.

If you know there is a danger of productivity dipping because morale is about to plummet in the face of change, then giving people support is the single best investment you could make to sustain and develop your changing business.

How much change we have or whether change is good or bad for us is irrelevant; far more important is Change Management, how we deal with and cope with change. Good Change Management needs key people within your organization to develop the skill and insight that will make a difference to the way things happen around them.

This Change Management Programme covers the effect of rules, assumptions, patterns, the roles people play, and conflicting ways of thinking and perceiving.

Our Change Management Training deals head-on with the challenge of change. You will create a personal leadership strategy that will motivate, persuade and inspire those around you.

Course Content

This workshop focuses initially on the here and now within the workplace and through some practical exercises, will allow participants to visualize the direction where they need to take their teams. This is a highly participative and interactive workshop that will enable managers and supervisors to develop practical strategies that can be adopted on their return to the workplace.

  • The first step in the process is to identify the organization's reasons for change. Change is inevitable and we will begin to set the foundations in place for easing the process
  • The consequences of not changing. It might seem like a good idea to maintain current positions but what would be the potential consequences of adopting this approach?
  • What will the change look like? By starting to envisage the Å“new world you can then start to identify the steps that need to be taken to get you there
  • 80% of change programmes fail. By identifying how to handle fear, cynicism, and resistance, you can begin to develop strategies that as a manager you can use to ease the team and yourself through the process
  • Individuals and teams will need varying degrees of support in a period of change. Questioning the way you perceive and handle things will allow you to determine the best method of ongoing support for enabling others to cope and move on.
  • Action Planning. Set some goals for back in the workplace that will help to ease the transition from where you are now to where you want to be, thereby leading to positive changes in your business
