Adobe InDesign is the industry standard layout program. It is used in the production of brochures, magazines, newsletters, and PDFs. InDesign is also the source for most publishing from eBooks, printed material, and even Apps for smartphones and tablet devices.
The Adobe InDesign CC Level 1 course covers key techniques and features, including setting up new documents, shapes, frames and placeholders, textual content, formatting text, working with styles, placing images, using layers, creating special effects, tables, object libraries, and pre-flighting.
This course is intended for people with no previous experience of InDesign or those who have used the product but require the official training on how to use the basics of the application in the best manner. Ideally suited for people wanting to edit existing InDesign documents or those wishing to create very simple newsletters or flyers.
Before taking this course, students should be familiar with the basic functions of their computer's operating system such as creating folders, launching programs, and working with windows. Students should also have basic Windows application skills, such as copying and pasting objects, formatting text, saving files, and so on. No previous knowledge of InDesign is necessary however, a competent level of computer skills would be assumed.
